Starting on November 6th, 2024, all new clients will be booked into the clinic.

If community visits are required or requested, they will start on the current Fee Schedule.

Any client that has not been active with our team in the past three months will be considered a new client for this purpose.

Will prices change?
In-clinic prices will remain the same for follow-up appointments. Please refer to the current Fee Schedule for changes in pricing for assessments and community visits.
Do I have to come to the clinic?
New clients will be booked into the new clinic space. Current clients will follow the transition plan outlined above.
Can I still have home, daycare, or community visits?
Yes, this will still be offered as a service to ensure accessibility. If community visits are required or requested, they will follow the new 'in community' treatment fees (found in our current Fee Schedule) starting on February 1st, 2025..
What is the travel fee if there’s a group of children needing sessions at the same school or daycare?
If there’s a group of children scheduled consecutively at the same school or daycare, the travel fee may be waived if at least three sessions are booked back-to-back. If sessions are to move to an alternate community location/ home, the usual travel fees will apply
Will my appointment times change?
We will try our best to accommodate your current appointment time, with this change, we will be able to offer more appointment times and therefore current bookings may be affected. We will work with you to find a time that works for your schedule.
I'm a current client, can I still book my appointments online?
Currently, our online Jane App portal for booking appointments will only offer in-clinic appointments. If you would like to book a community visit, please contact your clinician directly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to re-open the community online booking option once the transition period has settled.

Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the clinic is wheelchair accessible, including automatic doors and an accessible bathroom in the building’s lobby. There is a curb-cut with accessible parking out front.
How do I get to the clinic?
The clinic is located at 36 Brookshire Court, Suite 200 in Bedford. It is conveniently located at the corner of Hammonds Plains Road and Brookshire Court and is just off Exit 3 on the 102.

Please use Exit # 3 coming from Truro or the Annapolis Valley on the Bicentennial Highway (102)
Are there public transport options to get to the clinic?
Buses 91 and 196 stop about 200 feet from our clinic.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is free parking available to clients during appointments. There is one wheelchair accessible spot to the right of the main doors across from the curb-cut.
What is the clinic environment like? Is it private and comfortable?
There will be multiple private clinic rooms available with various layouts and supplies available. Your clinician will ensure the space is appropriate for your appointment needs.
Are there any amenities, such as waiting areas?
Yes, there will be a comfortable waiting area. You are welcome to finish your work day there while you wait.
My child has difficulty with new environments and medical offices, how will this be accommodated?
Our clinicians will take a neurodiversity affirming approach to transitioning clients to our new space.
A Social Story will be available for transitioning visits from community visits to the clinic. A video walk through will also be available.
Our space will be warm and welcoming as well as a fun and safe space for individuals to avoid a stark clinical office appearance.
If you are concerned about your first visit, please feel free to visit the space before to explore the space during our open hours.
What if my child is a runner?
The clinic entrance is set back from the road with a parking lot. The reserved parking spaces are directly across from the main entrance which limits the distance between your car and the front door.
Please be aware that the main lobby has two grand staircases leading down which may be tempting to runners. Please guide your child immediately to the right to avoid this.
Will my clinicians change?
While we aim to keep continuity in your care, it's possible that your current clinician may change due to the transition. However, we will do our best to accommodate your preference for the same provider. If they are not available, we'll ensure you are matched with a qualified team member who can meet your needs effectively. We’ll communicate any changes as soon as possible, so you can feel confident in your care. If you have any concerns regarding this, please get in touch with your clinician.
Will all the services I received at home still be available in the clinic?
Yes! All of our current services will be available at our clinic. We will also be able to offer more services and resources due to having a consistent location.
Are there any new services or resources I can access at the clinic?
Yes! With a clinic space, we will be able to offer more specialized equipment and have more access to resources that aren’t available with community services.
How will my care be managed during the transition?
Your current clinicians will discuss specifics of your transition with you at your next appointment. If you have additional questions, or questions regarding billing, please contact our office manager at (902) 580-1060 during office hours.
There will be no gaps in services.
Will my medical records and information be transferred securely?
Our records and information software will be unaffected by our transition to the clinic. You may still book and manage your appointments through Jane App.
Will my insurance cover visits to the new clinic?
Yes, the clinic will not affect insurance coverage.
Are there any changes to payment methods?
No, payments will be processed the same.
Will my primary contact remain the same?
Yes, contact your clinician(s) for therapy related questions and our office manager for billing related questions.
How can I provide feedback about my experiences in the new clinic?
We would love to hear your feedback and suggestions on improving our space and practices. You may provide feedback verbally during sessions or via email to clinical@alliedtherapy.ca. You may also submit feedback anonymously via our website.
