Speech Therapy
Our Speech-Language Pathologists provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for individuals facing speech and language challenges. We support differences such as articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication. Our aim is to enhance communication skills, ensuring clients can effectively express themselves and understand others. Services are offered in-clinic in Halifax and through virtual sessions province-wide.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) support children and adults with:
Speech delays and articulation disorders
Language development challenges
Stuttering and fluency disorders
Alternative and Augmentative Communication
Feeding assessment
Voice therapy and post-stroke rehabilitation
Our Speech-Language Pathologists now offer Hearing Screening for any of our clients. Our equipment allows for a quick OAE screening to inform parents and to help decide if a further referral to an Audiologist is needed. Our device offers an accurate way to assess the function of the outer hair cells in the inner ear by measuring sounds (OAEs) produced in the ear canal.

Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists assist individuals in developing, regaining, and enhancing the skills necessary for meaningful daily activities. We address challenges and differences such as fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care routines, and more. Our goal is to empower clients to achieve greater independence and participation in activities that matter most to them. Available in-person in Halifax and via telehealth across Nova Scotia.

Behaviour Therapy
Our Behaviour Therapists support individuals with behavioural challenges. We develop individualized behaviour intervention plans focusing on skill development and behaviour modification to improve quality of life. These are created through a positive behavioural and trauma informed lens. Sessions are available both in-person in Halifax, Digby, and via telehealth throughout Nova Scotia.
Our Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs) provide:
Positive behaviour support for autism and ADHD
Parent coaching and family interventions
Safety-based, trauma informed behaviour plans
Strategies to reduce challenging behaviours and safety concerns
Habit Building and support for Impulse Control

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Assessment
For individuals with complex communication needs, our team conducts thorough AAC assessments to determine appropriate assistive communication devices or strategies. We aim to enhance communication for nonspeaking individuals or those with limited speech capabilities. We recommend positioning and access methods. Assessments can be conducted at our Halifax clinic or virtually across the province.

Feeding Assessment
Our feeding assessments address challenges such as picky eating, oral motor difficulties, and sensory-based feeding issues. We develop personalized therapy plans to improve feeding skills.
Services are provided in-person in Halifax and via telehealth for clients throughout Nova Scotia.

Communication Intermediary
A Communication Intermediary is an impartial, qualified professional trained to facilitate two-way communication between individuals with communication disabilities and justice professionals (e.g., police, legal counsel). Our Communication Intermediaries assist in legal settings to ensure individuals with speech and language disabilities can understand questions and effectively communicate their responses.
