This month we have fun Valentine’s Day-themed activities the whole family can take part in.

The best part is you can support your child’s learning and therapy goals while also having fun using our suggested games and activities!

Gross Motor Activity

Cupid Training Camp – Grab some pompoms or small balls and pretend they are arrows (you can also make your own arrows using popsicle sticks). Put tape on the floor in the shape of a big heart and place a bowl/basket at the center. To earn a point, you need to shoot an “arrow” inside the bowl/basket. If you miss, you have to walk along the heart like a tightrope. Hop along the heart to earn yourself an extra “arrow.”

Fine Motor and Craft Activity

Q-tip / Finger Painting – Draw a heart on a piece of paper for a guide. Trace and fill in the hearts with dots using a Q-Tip or your finger and some paint. You can also make flowers by taping a couple of Q-tips together.

Book and Game of the Month

Take some time to read Love Makes a Family by Sophie Beer. Cuddles mandatory!

As a family, why don't you play Cupcake Race by Endless Games and practice your turn taking, asking and answering questions, and chatting while you play!
