Meaningful Progress, One Story at a Time

Our Journey with Autism & Communication
When our three-year-old son was diagnosed with autism, we didn’t know where to start. We were overwhelmed, unsure of what steps to take, and worried about how to support our child in the best way possible. He had limited words, often got frustrated because he couldn’t express what he wanted, and preferred to play alone rather than engage with us or other children.

Our Journey with ADHD & Challenging Behaviours
Our seven-year-old daughter started struggling in school and we weren’t sure what to do. Her teacher mentioned that she had trouble focusing, staying in her seat, and following directions. At home, we saw the same things. She would start tasks but not finish them, interrupt our conversations consistently, and have big emotional outbursts over small frustrations. We were beginning to wonder if she had ADHD, but getting a diagnosis takes time. In the meantime, we needed help.

Confidence Through
Routine & Support
Watching my son become more independent and socially engaged has been one of the most rewarding experiences. He still needs support, but he is happier, more confident, and better equipped to handle daily life.
If you or a loved one needs support in communication, transitions, daily routines, or independence, Allied Therapy can help.

Supporting Independence and Communication for an Adult with an Intellectual Disability
Our son moved into a group home at 35 years old. We hoped he would gain more independence and confidence in his daily life. He had always needed support with routines, and social interactions, but we wanted him to feel capable and engaged in his community.
